About this programme

Learning for Life is AiRD's youth employability programme, now in its fourth phase. It combines employability skills, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, mentorship and market linkages so that young women and men, together with smallholder farmers, can move into gainful employment or start enterprises of their own.

  • 36,295 young people trained to date (18,910 female, 17,349 male).
  • Over 43% of those trained have found gainful employment.
  • 10,888 enterprises started by programme graduates.
