Providing safe drinking water and household hygiene through P&G water purification sachets — over 300 million litres delivered to 100,000 households.
About this project
In partnership with the Procter & Gamble Children's Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) programme, AiRD procures, demonstrates and distributes P&G Purifier of Water sachets to clean contaminated water — addressing cholera and other waterborne disease among school-going children and the communities surrounding target schools.

Objectives
- Improve access to safe drinking water and promote household hygiene practices and community livelihood through the use of the P&G water purification materials.
Key activities
- Procurement, demonstration and distribution of the P&G purifier of water materials to clean dirt water in addressing cases of cholera in the target areas especially amongst school going children and immediate communities next to the target schools.
Impact so far
- Provided over 300 million liters of clean safe water to 100,000 households.
