AiRD strengthens sustainable livelihoods by equipping youth, women, producer groups and community organizations with practical skills, business support and economic opportunities. Through entrepreneurship, skills development, market access and enterprise growth, AiRD enables people to increase their incomes, create jobs, build sustainable businesses and contribute to inclusive local economic development.
AiRD works with communities and institutions to improve access to safe water and sanitation while promoting healthy behaviours that contribute to long-term public health. Our WASH programmes focus on drilling solar-powered boreholes, making water safe through P&G sachets, hygiene promotion, behaviour change communication, community mobilization, water governance and strengthening community ownership of water infrastructure.
AiRD promotes climate-smart agriculture and sustainable livelihoods by strengthening agricultural value chains, building entrepreneurship capacity and improving market access for rural communities. Our interventions integrate climate resilience, sustainable natural resource management, agribusiness development and enterprise growth to enhance food security and economic empowerment.
AiRD strengthens the capacity of civil society organizations, community-based organizations, youth groups, women-led organizations and government institutions to become effective, accountable and sustainable. We support governance strengthening, strategic planning, organizational development, policy formulation, leadership development, mentoring and organizational capacity assessments.
